OOPs #115
Jan27
You may have noticed that this page is coming in rather late in the month! This is because the experimental production-line method I tried last month was a fantastic success, and I’ve been using most of this month cranking out sketches and inks to establish a buffer (finally).
This will help ensure there are far fewer inconsistencies in the post schedule, and maybe even allow for a steady posting on a scheduled day of the week soon, so here’s hoping!
Raptie does character colors and shading!
Loose lips sink Tradeships.
Rule of Acquisition N°135: Listen to secrets, but never repeat them.
Ooh, I like that. I really ought to look into Ferengi culture more. They seem neat.
I was a bit worried when I noticed the boy behind Viracroix. No need for the special outfit for debates today. đŸ™‚
murder is an extreme solution, best used only when you absolutely have to. Better to just placate people, make deals and ultimately just please them with words and promises rather than silence them with a blade. This will lead to less revolutions that will have you among the first against the wall, too.
This is a Trademaster that knows his people…
…Damn, now I want candy , too….
Aaaaaand now I have the song in my head. “Iiiiii want caandy! doo-doodoo-doodoo-dodoo”
Viracroix used candy! IT’S SUPER EFFECTIVE!
What’s up with that third guard? Does he know what the trademaster does to keep things quiet?
Isn’t that the one that threw the sheet during his last “business meeting”?
No I think that guy was more fancy dressed.
No, Vracroix’s “personal assistant” is in the first frame.
Your orphans? THATS GREAT!đŸ˜†
Hell yes! No parents and all the candy!
I was in the cub scouts, so that two figured salute looks funny to me.
Trademaster, the Master of Diplomacy.
xD the Trademaster is such a genius.
Nice to hear you’ve found way to increase output. I think you’ll find that it’s helpful to ahve a regular schedule, it’s pretty much reader retention 101.
Given the Trademaster’s somewhat idealistic but rather ruthless utilitiarianism, I strongly I expect to see those kids again in the future in some capacity. A little care and sympathy in the right place can win their loyalty for life. Today it’s “don’t tell anyone else for candy”, tomorrow it will be “tell me what you saw for candy.”
Of course, someday it might be “Charge that line of pikes” And they’ll do it, candy be damned. Ruthless, remember? but be better take care of the survivors, because that trick fails if you don’t maintain it.
I feel like the artist must play Rimworld. Inhospitable climate, giant insects, reliant on trade, lots of battle damaged people around, and the guards clearly have Devilstrand clothing. Kinda want a mod with yinglets now.
You know, I just noticed the Trademaster has yellow eyes.
I wonder if that is significant.
Nice
I gotta ask… was Lord Ivenmoth even remotely inspired by Lord Vetanari? Because he regularly reminds me of him.
What’s with the brightness increasing gradually with each panel?
Duh. I am dumb. It’s morning.
I got confused as mornings are an unusual time to clean up loose ends.
Kids have priorities.
Often more sensible ones than adults.
(Although I would have held out for two pieces, but I’m a greedy adult.)
