Just how compressible is a yinglet? At least even at such velocities, Beizel is not likely to impart an unreasonable quantity of force. We know the yinglet material is very good at extension, with necks being made of yinglet being a prime example, but how do they hold up under weight? What’s the sheer factor?
Its more of a question of how much energy Beizel can impart, as the boss says Yinglets weigh about as much as a house cat. We as a result have a very low terminal velocity, and like the cats thrown off a cathedral and surviving in the witch trials, so we just don’t fall very fast due to our low terminal velocity. For what we can endure, see the combat of Elim, and the gang of Yinglets. We can take a surprising amount of acceleration without being killed, but not a lot of crushing damage. Our lack of mass works in our favor in us not being easily injured in some ways, but we still have bird-like bones, which break like any other creature.
Green Afro Yinglet has my favorite color scheme so far. Also, how do afro?
I think his afro is actually yet another mutation. Take a good look at his shoulders, elbows, and back in panels 2 and 4… he’s got a different fur texture than the other two. Looks kinda like his fur is naturally curly/poofy.
Cheeks and crotch fur too. He’d probably grow a weird beard too eventually.
So does that make him the first official funk soul yinglet?
Wonder if the colorful bits sticking out of his afro are also some mutation to give him antennae, or if they’re just pretty sticks or feathers.
Eyes and tongue, also, which gives him an alien look. All around different, possibly a sub-species? Or just an example of an extreme mutation?
You’d think Beizel of all yinglets would be more… *reads the description* …ah, I see.
And while the page’s still fresh, I’m going to repeat my earlier thought: I wonder if Pekkit’s related to Beizel.
Patriarch Beizel absolutely has a thing for the Matriarch. His having a daughter by her would not be a surprise. Its a question of how “fathers” see the young they produce though. Seeing the children a female produces is a combination of any male or males she has had congress with, there is not a feeling of fatherhood among Yinglet-kind as much as a satisfaction of liking the female they are breeding. There are exceptions though, as any elder has a fondness for their charges whom they have a affection for, relation or not. Chances are, most of the Yinglets in this area are related within a few generations, and its the peculiarities of our system of breeding that keeps us from being genetically inbred. Its even possible the Yinglet being used as a trampoline is a son of Beizel, and if he’s not part of the Enclave, he’s not Beizel’s problem anymore. Being only part of a father kind of does that to us.
Beizel having a daughter wouldn’t be a surprise… but when trying to guess which girl is Beizel’s daughter, the first and most obvious suspect would be Feeeena.
Having two daughters would be quite a bit more surprising, what with yinglet chances of having even just one.
Was it ever suggested that males have a hard time impregnating a female? I think it’s more that the females are kept on specific breeding schedules when they’re fertile, so they have to breed with the selected males. Patriarchs like Beizel would have more chances.
Think his comment was more towards having multiple daughters. Males impregnating females aren’t the issue; it’s having female offspring that’s hard.
Yeah, this. Is it really that hard to just read what I wrote? =/
I’m not 100% convinced that was an accident.
Neither is the Yinglet catching his breath after being used as a cushion. I call him Gloves, for his white paw-hands.
I wonder if Kas get’s this kind of attention when he walks around with guard. If anything a Yinglet in a Insmoth uniform is unusual but one that’s also female might make Kas a bit of a Celebrety in the Yinglets in the city.
Also have to wonder how does the rumor mill work in Yinglet society I wonder what kind of rumors about Kas is going around in the city.
I’m not sure why but that black and white ying’s fur seems extra silky to me. I bet he would be nice to pet. On the other hand, the dark spots that resembling an iris around the green and black ying’s pupils are freakin me out for some reason.
The black and white yinglet is extremely cute, would love to see more art of that character.
*points and laughs* Fwa ha ha ha hah!
*blink blinks*
But… is nots nice to laughs at ozhers owies… so am ze sorries.
(hehe)
Patriarch Beizel is also the Yinglet champion of “De Floor is Lava!”
Oh NOOOS not za lavas! *quicklies hops up onto nearby crate*
Zhat stuffs iz sooo easies to fall intos… an you can’ts swims in it! Zhough… zhat would explains why tree-yinglet doesn’t leaves his tree. O_o
I’m curious as to why the gray yinglet with reddish-brown eyes has a furless tail like a rat or mouse.
