De Baxxid are wierd in being bloodzhirsty to a extreme perhaps, but humani kill for money, and us Yinglets are de worst of ’em all zhanks to life being so, so short.
Good on Kalgkur for being honest, zhat he is someone who is in charge of his destiny. Zhough we missed de part of asking ole wazziz his name what it knows zhat it did once upon a time.

Unsure if this counted as “opening his mind utterly and allowing his wisdom to seep into him”… Hoping there will be a further discussion/exploration on this from Kalkgur, because it seems the task is to get him to fully understand the nature this guy is speaking of.
I think the point here is that most of their culture works on these untested platitudes of talking about peace and talking about not living in the wild, and that confronting that is supposed to be a sort of Nietzschean “God is Dead” moment, where he has to find his own reasons to be a cooperating member of society. Then again, he seems like he already has that, like he doesn’t need the platitudes because he’s already perfectly content with the situation as is, and doesn’t like the idea of the situation without it…
De ole wazziz his name has the appeal of a homeless dude tied to a rock for years, and I can only imagine the smell as well. De idea of “I want to be like zhat” is considerably less when seeing exactly where acting like a feral idiot ends up at.
So one could say zhere are two lessons to learn, one in introspection, seeing zhat criminal in oneself, and thus being disgusted in it, and also seeing de cost in such actions for oneself if zhey continue to act unwisely.

Would dey not have to remove his chains to do so? Plus do you zhink dey allow humans in zhere? Last time I checked de baxxid are de worst folks imaginable to do manual labor. Not zhat I’d chuckle a bit as de ole wazziz name got turned into a pin cushion over and over as dey try and clean his crusty butt.

Better to love and lose than to have never loved at all. Romance and attaching inconsequential values to actions might be pointless in terms of survival, but it sure is better than living numb.
HWKWHD wish the Baxxid to give into ‘the ID’ and the biological purpose of the species, but modern Baxxid with to persue other values of the consious mind to which they have much potential to evolve. There is nothing wrong if you wish to challenge the roles assigned to you and set yourself to a greater purpose.
The trial here is to deem if Kalgkur’s actions allign to the primal urges or simply an intention interrupted. Kalgkur has chosen his awnser
I guess the question is what does “coalesce” mean to a Baxxid? Are zhey supressing some instinct like our friendly bug laady Yannit is familiar wizh? And if zhey coalesce does zhat awaken somezhing in zhem dat dey try and hide from? Baxxid are so mysterious, even to zhemselves, sometimes. I want to hug one, but zhey are so scary to get close to, and I am snack sized.
I imagine they get together and ravage the land, like locusts, before retiring to ‘grow’. Perhaps they get enough meat now in other ways to stave this off, though.
But, Baxxid are always togezher. Or nearly so. Zhey do tend to stick together in ValSalia, even living communally. So, I don’t zhink it is like Earth Locusts zhat undergo a physical transformation from Solitary Grasshoppers into Locusts zhat swarm due to overpopulation. Zhough a swarm of Baxxid is terrifying to zhink of, such a zhing would have left a scar on zhe ozher species dat de Baxxid would have following zhem around.
Zo, what do we know so far? Baxxid are prey to “urges” somezhing like de one dat stems from overeating, causing a physical change in de number of limbs, but no actual alteration in regards to personality, minus being prickly due to zheir appearance. So we can rule out diet as a triggering mechanism as well.
De turning into a flower zhing is very wierd. And zo far we haven’t seen what is zhe genesis for a Baxxid turning into one. However, it does appear to not hinder zheir communication wizh ozher Baxxid, zhough for all intentions zheir bodies are asleep. Zo! Like Yannit’s species (Indrel) it can be assumed zhat de Baxxid communicate eizher mind to mind, or via ozher means zhan vocalizations. We know zhey can communicate zhrough solid stone, and it would make sense to do so if zhey are mostly under de ground, where even ultra-sonics would be felt by prey standing on de surface.
Zo, for what de boss zhinks coalese means for de Baxxid will have to wait, but makes me want to watch more to find out!
