Fascinating how much stigma is placed on violence in their society, especially considering what their society is implied to have been like before by He-Who-Knows-What-He-Did. I wonder how much of it is a result of overcorrection, and how much of it is just the pragmatic result of individual members of their species being so capable of inflicting mass casualties on the weaker species if motivated to do so.
