Actually, from my experience, a quick sharp tounge is a coping mechanism from an extremely painful past. Such that any tragedy is instantly turned to comedy to avoid dealing with pain.

Agreed, especially the humans, of which are the hardest to draw (we all know what they are supposed to look like). Learn to live might have better rendered Yinglets, but overall, I like OOP’s overall quality better still.

Are any of them connected or just set in the same universe?
Scav’s Glory takes place in and around Ivenmoth parallel to OOP, Learn to live might be in the same world, but different characters/setting.
To be clear, the only canon Yinglet comic IS OoPs, since it’s written by the guy who actually created them and the setting. The other comics are just fancomics, even if they’re linked to on here.
Val is just really fond of seeing fans enjoy showing off their take on it.

I think House Ivenmoth’s intelligence assets will be taking a much, MUCH closer look at Yinglet activities following this incident.
This attack goes completely against what they “know” Yinglets are like, and that’s not a comfortable feeling.

Can’t wait to see Lopin’s reaction to all this. First he gets one big, handsome human turned into a yinglet female, now he gets another–the dearest friend of the first, no less–ganked by outcasts. And both as a result of giving them that bauble he was supposed to hold on to.

Telling Lopin the truth may lead to clues to finding who the outcasts are connected to. He has a right to know he’s in danger, he acknowledged Kass as his matriarch, who was attacked, and he lived in the city and might be important in solving the mystery. Weighed against him spazzing out over what he’s bound to find out eventually, its not a hard choice, just have some clams around when he is told and it’ll be OK.

We haven’t had enough Yannit lately, I’d like to see her do the questioning of the surviving Yinglet, That would be fun for us, less so for the Yinglet. Can’t help but to think she’d make a better bodyguard than “Best Girl” Isher, though being assigned both would be better until Elim’s problem passes.
We haven’t seen yet an angry Isher. I think she would be a really dangerous enemy. Fear the the anger of a gentle man. Anyway, Yannit would be as loyal to Kass as an ant can be to his hive. Who would dare to attack both of them?
On a different subject, I were wondering… Ran surely did some research on the dead body of the previous Indrel… what if the Indrels had a sort of poison/toxine used to paralyze their prey? And what if Ran knows a way to use it to slow down Elim’s metabolism? Maybe Ran will ask to Yannit to bite Elim to save his life.
I’m not sure Isher is capable of losing it. Really look at Elim, he was there for Isher and Kass when Kass recruited Isher to house Ivenmoth originally. She should be pissed as hell over her 2nd oldest (maybe 1st) friend in Ivenmoth being stabbed, and if she was human, maybe she would, but she isn’t, so she sits there in confusion. Yannit already offered to crush some skulls for Kass, and nobody had really bothered her yet at that time. Yannit might be strange, but I’d rather have her as a ally than Isher, no matter how much she cares for Kass, she is paralyzed when it comes time to make decisions, possibly worse so than a Yinglet.
On the subject of “Yannit’s kiss” (of sleep) yeah, could be. Medically induced comas are used today rather often, and I suppose as long as the effects are short term, why not? Otherwise Elim would bleed out or dehydrate before wakening. Still think Elim might be saved by taking “Zhat Zhing” and being turned into a Yinglet, but since Valsalia’s post on Deviant Art showing just that, it probably means it won’t happen, or Valsalia is into spoiling his own comic.
I’d hang out with Ran any time. Sounds like an amusing day.

Ran might have failed Kass, which is sad, but he also failed the head of House Ivenmoth, someone with a rather short history of tolerating such. Bad things will happen when the trademaster is informed. Bad to who, I can’t say, but badness will surely follow this attack on his soldiers.
Gotta say that I absolutely love this series. Like, *so damn much*. I literally discovered it today, binged it, looked up all your deviantart stuff, and re-read the entire webcomic again. Great work, and I’m hoping to see more Yannit soon.
Iโll be honest, it has been a few months since I last saw Kas as a human, and I love the close up on these panels. It kind of drives home the fact that is is a yingletm the eyes, skull shape, clothes, even the hair ties show nearly no link to their previous form. That and the art is simply amazing, to translate a 3D object, such as a skull, and translate it so well to a simple picture as shown here is awe inspiring, good work!
