I cringe when someone uses the word “trap” to describe someone. It’s pretty transphobic.
I think I would be willing to commit horrible crimes, crimes of, you might say, passion is an appropriate word here, if by doing so it would be convincing to bring about the creation of a scene, spun from the ether of the heavens, Chakki and Lopin competing to give tips on how to CONDUCT oneself to be more appealing to the male eye. Perhaps to a large, sweet somebody with giant useful thumbclaws this would be a useful lesson.

Here’s where I note that the whole of Chakki’s outfit seems to match the light blue of the carnal-beckoning weed… and even has a floral theme. On purpose, perhaps? 😉

Ooh, and on second glance I see he has the same purple eyeshadow – has he perhaps learned the beetle-butt trick from Lopin, figured it out for himself, or perhaps was he the one who taught lopin? Inquiring minds want to know! 😀
Also I love how patriarch Figgins is utterly okay with Chakki being bent over mid-conversation right in front of him. I’d say it’s just normal and unremarkable for yinglets, yet Chakki does such a /convincing/ job of seeming embarrassed by it…

Did something happen to Patriarch Figgins tail? It seems to have had been shortened in the first frame. And the shadow cast says it wasn’t a artwork mistake. Be interesting if Figgins can’t run or walks in a awkward gait to compensate for the lack of a balancing tail.
Figgins has no tail. Been true since he was introduced.
I’ll agree that it looks shorter now than his first appearance, but I think it was just Val’s style getting more refined.
chakki has a tail poof? Is that the first boy we’ve seen with one?
I noticed that too. However it doesn’t look the same as a female tail tuft. It sort of looks like the fur on the end of his tail is just shaggier. That or he does something to make it look that way. Though also, from one of the field guides we have seen a male with an extremely long poofy tail.
Perhaps Chakki has a poodle cut. Judging from that magnificent mane he has, it would be easy to see him having a shaggy tail before getting trimmed.
We’ve already seen males with tail floof – look up Archetypes in Val’s FA (he sadly stopped posting any additional materials on the site we’re currently on).
I feel like in the 4th panel there should he ‘swish’ written by that movement line (not sure the proper term for it)

He’s supposed to look feminine. That’s his thing. He’s gone out of his way to be as feminine as possible.

Waitasec: only female yinglets are supposed to have tail tufts, but Chakki is male (albeit VERY feminine).
Wouldn’t that tail tug classify as inappropriate touching? I mean, I’d be pretty shocked if some rando touched my ass, for example.
