Some kind of antiseptic, probably. Alcohol, peroxide, that sort of thing (but probably not peroxide because there’s no foaming). It stings because it kills infection but it also tries to kill YOUR cells at the same time, the hope is that the invading cells will die but you will just make more cells to replace the ones that die to the antiseptic.
How much thought into the medical practices? How about the fact that “Wound Cleaning Time” just *happens* to be scheduled for when the incoming light is directly overhead and at its brightest, as the arm shadow would seem to indicate?
