Googled volcanic basalt, was not disappointed. He’s right. They are fascinating. I think he’s talking about basaltic columns.
Yeah basalt columns are impressive. But crystals can do some impressive things in smaller sizes too. Google pyrite and then google bismuth, and see what you think.
