Yeah, zhat face is somewhat suspect Ran. What I’d like to know is how Kass doesn’t know zhis (How de tongue barb zhing works), despite asking dozens of scavs to stick out zheir tongues and hold zhem out so zhey can draw zhem ever so pretty (like Laady Kass is) on her paper. Kass didn’t even notate which tongue belonged to whom (is good manners to give credit when helped) but I’d love to been there when Kass started to give out clams for seeing zheir tongues, and suddenly was overcame with dozens of “volunteers” and zheir tongues.
I’m pretty sure Kass’s tongue drawings were just guesses, not actual observations. Kass certainly could have asked Lopin to stick out his tongue for a drawing, and there’s no doubt he’d be happy to oblige, but I can’t imagine Kass wanting Lopin to model for anatomy drawings. Kass may eventually discover the persuasive power of being female, but probably not any time soon.
What I want to know is if Ran is capable of taking anything seriously that’s related to yinglets.
Are you implying zhat Laaady Kass simply made up somezhing to please her bosses zhat dey pulled out of zheir butt (hopefully not literally)? Damm, Kass is becoming more like a Yinglet every day if so.
For Lopin, he already gave his allegiance to Kass, and Kass recognized zhat feeemales have a higher social standing zhan males do, razher like Earzh Hyenas, if Feemale Hyenas were 10% of de population. So, he’d totally do zhat, and eagerly for clams. After all if Kass is to experiment wizh dis, de best way is wizh lots, and lots of clams.
Zhat and face it, Stoned Kass is a happy Kass.

In any case, yes, after seeing Ran make that face, Kass’s best strategy is probably to ask Lopin about the “tongue bristles,” and if he doesn’t know, ask Vizlet. For all we know, Ran dug up fresh graves to dissect the cadavers.
Yeah I’m surprised asking him how they worked didn’t occur to Kass, especially since helping her with stuff like that is literally part of his job description.
In OOP #28 Vislet did teach Kass on how to use zheir tongue for Clam eatings, and guided Kass zhrough it. So, Vislet did give Kass de Hows but not zhe whys of tongue use. Is Possible zhat Vislet despite being a smarty pants may not know zhe details of Yinglet physiology in zhis, not just because it is outside of her specialization, but also because zhere is such a huge variety of Yinglet anatomy, zhat zhere may not be one correct answer for it.
When is Ran NOT sus?
Knowing Ran and how much he knows about Yinglets… he’s DEFINITELY suspect XD
I mean, for goodness sakes he mashed two fruits together to simulate Yinglets mating!
I mean, considering this is a world where humans regularly have sex with non-humans, and “human chaser” Yinglets are popular enough partners that there are apparently full on “Yinglet Sex Dens,” he’s probably had sexual encounters with an eager yinglet… Though he strikes me as aesexual, so the yinglet might have been a bit disappointed.
Ran did express his desire to know one of zhe trademaster’s female friends better. And I don’t zhink he meant it in wanting someone as a student-wise. But supposing he was an Ace, zhis does not keep him from bringing two Yinglets along, and taking notes as zhey plow eachozher in de name of science!
For a Human-Yinglet Brothel in Valsalia, gonna say no, not because Us Yinglets wouldn’t sign up for it, but because of de Trademaster and Vislet’s closeness meaning any legit sex dens would be cracked down upon. Does zhis mean zhere aren’t Human-chasers among my kind? Oh Hell no! But it does mean zhat zhey do have to keep it on zhe down low, away from where dey get caught.
I honestly don’t want to get anywhere near this topic, but I do want to say I agree with Specific: just because the reader has seen where Brakka got dragged off to, that doesn’t mean it’s a “regular” thing, nor something the civil authorities would knowingly tolerate. It could be, but I think the fact that Brakka hasn’t been found is evidence that the place is a carefully guarded secret.
For Ran, we know from page 106 that he has the hots for Lady Talleraine, a human female. Otherwise I think he’s just enough of a weirdo to buy “demonstrations,” as he told the three students at his “special lesson,” and I don’t even think he realizes that makes him weird. It could as easily be a symptom of detachment as kinkiness, but with Ran, it’s hard to tell, and wise to suspect him of everything.
In fairness “two fruits mashing together” is a fair description of the average yinglet mating process.

5: after logging in, zhere is an option on top left to return to here, do so.
6: once back here, refresh once, there should be a black wordpress banner at zhe top of de page. At zhis point, de captcha crap ought to disappear, and you can post here wizhout issues.

Compared to the page long spam posts selling zhings, it is a necessary evil perhaps. De boss was spending more time being a page moderator zhan actually drawing, so zhings had to change.
For Ran acquiring a stomped on yinglet, sadly zhat isn’t too hard to do around Valsalia, de mortality rate for outcasts has gone down from before it was legal to exterminate us on sight, but it remains higher zhan it needs to be.

Ok, now hear me out, Ran has clams…So can it be dat bad? Plus of all zhings, Ran has been very honest, despite his constant teasing and finding ways to make zhings sound perverted. Zhe hard zhing about putting up wizh Ran, is zhat somehow, he has zhose same yappy talking all de time voices in his head too, coming up wizh all kinds of perverted shit. And I don’t mind zhat, we do tend to have dat same zhing too. Zhe irritating zhing is his voices are always going to be more smarty pants zhan ours, and dat, is annoying to de extreme.
