Wut? Where?
I’m pretty confident we’ve never seen one in regular pages, and I just looked through all the like, “journal” type pages, and none of them included a picture of one.
it’s never been explicitly explained, that is true… but if you look at her features closely, it’s very easy to get the just of what her second parent COULD be.
I’m not the first to say it, but it’s possible that, in thory, Isher is half… BAXXID.
I can see how a person might guess that Isher’s non-human half is baxxid, but the inner monologue on this page, where she thinks about how she was bullied for being half-human and small, and how she had to move away from where she grew up to live among humans, leads me to think she’s not half-baxxid. I’d doubt it anyway because the two species are so far apart taxonomically, but with the super-science of “That Thing,” I wasn’t ruling it out. Now with this page, I think it’s nearly certain that her non-human half is a species we haven’t encountered yet. And I bet the author is having way too much fun holding onto that secret.
The “being bullied” part, I’ll admit, does make a good counterpoint against her being half-baxxid, and her ears are certainly peculiar. But at the same time, I wouldn’t fully rule it out either. a lot of her design, from under her tail, to the long spikes on her head, thumbs and toes… if she’s not half-baxxid, then whatever species she’s based on might not be too far from that lineage.
If Kalkgur fits amongs them, so would Isher. Don’t worry, Kass is here to make sure everyone is happy!
There’s always a bigger, sharper fish.
Also GOOD GOD MAN YOU CAN”T KEEP ME WAITING THIS LONG I NEEDS THE PRECIOUS!
“I don’t quite fit in because I’m too big. Oh, who’s this? …”
I don’t recall, have we ever seen a full-blooded member of the race Isher is a hybrid of?
I’m pretty sure we have… -wink wink-

god do I wish you could edit posts -_-;
but while I’m making a second post, it could also explain why Isher is also very shy, especially around the idea of being violent.

Yeah her being half-baxxid is a really stupid theory.

Or they could just be big spikey kangaroos.
careful, the implications of that means you now have to read everyone’s voices in Australian XD
That’s the first I’ve seen that theory. And while I could see how some people might think that, I really, really doubt it.
Wow. This gives a good perspective on how big the baxxid are. I wasn’t expecting Isher to be intimidated like that. I suspect Isher wasn’t either. (:
