Huh… that moment when you realize that you’ve been following this comic for two years… and never noticed that yings have those really long eyelash antenna-looking-like things.
I wonder of those whiskers are actually really sensitive and ticklish? Fully innervated?
They probably work like whiskers, with nerve clusters at the base to detect anything touching them.
This might be my favorite one. You really get the idea of just how close Elim and Kass really are. Plus all the raw feelz.
I just love every character in this comic.
I wonder how long Yings lives… since Kass is so concerned about it, I’d guess their lives are notoriously shorter than humans’s, but THAT could even just be a misunderstanding on the human’s part.
Humans themself used to have an average lifespan of 30 years in ancient times. Now we can easily live up to 3 time that number of years. Maybe ying are just like that: they live short lives because they do not know how to properly take care of themself.
In fairness, a lot of that is because of the number of children (and mothers) who died in childbirth, or soon after. But yeah, a lot of infections diseases are now easily curable where previously it’d be a death sentence.
This is why those more recent pages are so much more impactful. fuckin’ love Elim.
