That feeling when you’re having such a not-good day that you can’t even appreciate the albino nurse licking gore off your face.
Thanks as usual to Caedere for coloring/shading the characters on this page!

At least it didn’t spring out of the egg, wrap itself around Kass’ face, and start screeching in glass-shattering tones. I was half expecting that.
Going by the field guide after this page, the face clinging and glass-shattering screeching is more of a month old thing.
That was surprisingly tame. I expected yinglet birth to have more in common with a three stooges sketch.
A part of me wonders if Yinglets have some form of heat, if so then kassie is in for a new worst experience ever
Vizlet: What’s a factory?
Kas: I have no idea.
Factories have existed since ancient times, just thing more “sweatshop” than “heavy machinery”.
Yinglets might not have factories or even know what they are.
Factories only exist since the industrial revolution, everything was made by artisans. Forms of mass production involved multiple artisans working on making the same thing, but each working on their own. A factory involves, at least, work division, people specialized on a specific part of the production process and limiting their work to that part.
Chinese pottery kilns, Roman grist mills, etc.
Rome also had factories making garum, their fermented fish sauce. A few of them have been dug up and the work processes definitely followed the definition Agustin gave.
Huh, that egg looks less like a bird egg and more leathery, with a squishy interior. Is that what reptile eggs are like, I guess? Anyway, another neat little feature.
And that’s an adorable newhatched yinglet.
Admit it, Kas, you’re wanting to have one now. 😉
Well isn’t that nice.
Vizlet is having a proud Mama moment, and Kass is crappin all over it.
Nice sensitivity there Kass.
Love the comic.
That blank smiling expression…sorry Kas
Interesting hybrid between a mammal’s womb and a reptile egg. Also disturbing
My prediction for next page:
Kass: “Sorry, that was uncalled for.”
Then she will start a long speech about how much she has lost, her original gender, her species, ease of thought, her original social standing, several decades of life expectancy and so on. When all that is finished Vis will be attempting to keep composure. There may be tears from both of them.
Looks to me they keep the cutest and coolest looking Yings inside the nursery.
That albino and nurse are the cutest little guys.
What’s interesting is that they’re probably also among the most competent non-patriarch males in the enclave. Looks AND brains (by Yinglet standards, anyway…).
Makes me wonder what the matriarch’s opinion would be if the situation was reversed
