That feeling when you’re having such a not-good day that you can’t even appreciate the albino nurse licking gore off your face.
Thanks as usual to Caedere for coloring/shading the characters on this page!

Well I can’t rightly see the page. Hope nothing like an “oops”ie took place.
Whoops! That should fix it
oh wow, I thought it was just me, I was rereading a previous page earlier today and they suddenly stopped loading, I thought it was my connection.
But there doesn’t seem to be a file at all
Get the flamethrower. Don’t let it hug your face!
Those eggs are alarmingly large compared to the size of the yinglet nurse. Just another thing for Kass to fear, I suppose.
From the look of the egg, it’s more leathery than bird-eggy. It’s possible that the embryo grows in the egg and the egg expands.
That what I was thinking as well. ALso shows why they are hatched with the shell tooth, its so thay can break out of there shells.
Good observation! Field Guide explaining the details incoming.
You’ve never seen a kiwi just before it lays its egg, poor bird…
Well, at least they don’t fuse their mouth to nipples and hang like that, like kangaroo joeys do.
This have a kind of Xenomorph style to it that’s close to being creepy, yet manages to play off rather adorably when the little bugger stumbles out, likely disoriented from the movements. Very nice. 🙂
xD as usual, Kassie’s expressions are top notch. I love this world building.
Well that was different. I really pity Kassie now.
Kass looks like she’s seeing her life flash before her very eyes!
Holy hell, where do I start with this one?
1. The tiny feet sticking out of the swaddling cloth in panel 2 is adorable.
2. The noise the newborn makes reminds of South Park and the “dying giraffe” noise.
3. Vizlet losing her confident composure is so endearing to me for some reason. I adore her too much, you monster!
Haha, glad someone liked the little feet-popping-up detail
Also I just realized… I think I know why Yinglets are so addled. They scramble their own brains as infants to get out of their eggs.
The egg looked like a shark for a minute there.
Last panel: gotta love Kass’ face when (s)he says that xD
that egg is fleshy…… are yinglets this universes form of xenomorphs? except there’s nothing past yinglet? lol
It looks like a lizard egg, which are leathery rather than hard. Since females have breasts, Ynglets might be monotremes.
Lizard eggs have thin, parchment-like shells. This looks…meaty, for lack of a better word.
honestly not any more horrifying than human birth. kass needs to chill out
… i mean seriously, what did he even expect?
I mean, to be fair? If Kass had been turned into a HUMAN woman and was watching a bunch of ladies caring for newborns and giving birth with equipment he was now uncomfortably in possession of? Imagine the “nightmare factory” comment would still have been a thing. Not many males of the species – ANY species – are really ready for that kind of thing, hn?
This. It has nothing to do with Yinglets and everything to do with Kass still being a typical guy on the inside.
Oh come on Kass that was adorable!
Kassen isn’t much for kids, is (s)he?
Also, has Kass recovered enough to even talk about the whole female thing yet? I imagine Kass still prefers the male pronoun.
We’ve seen in the past that Kass does have subconscious yinglet instincts that sometimes emerge suddenly; I wonder if “maternal” feelings will come to the surface before Kass leaves the nursery.
my feelings exactly, Kass… but I’m still gonna giggle at you like a damn loon. XD
Maaaan I understand Kass’ s feelings, but I’m half expecting Vizlet to go :
Viz : “… nurses… would you please excuse us for a moment?”
* Viz waits until the nurses leave and then choke-slams Kass into the wall”
Viz : “What The Hell Is Wrong With You?!? Have manners and rules of decorum escaped you?!”
Kass is being like level 4 grossed out though. Good thing the vomit didn’t enter his mouth, or his animal “mommy instinct” may have made him lick it up to clean the pup… (*hurk* :$)
In other news, why are all the nurses male?
Because there’s only a handful of females around and they tend to be busy working on the next clutch of eggs.
Plus the feminine-leaning males seem to have the mothering instinct thing covered pretty well.
Not too much different than a baby chicken knocking a hole in the shell with its eggtooth. As hatchings/births go it’s pretty tame. Seems to have full fur and eyes almost open right out the gate.
Aw come on Kass, that’s adorable. Human births are MUCH worse.
Yeah, I’m kind of with the rest of the comments. This is pretty chill and clean as far as births go.
At least she speaks her mind unbaded and unrestricted.
That baby yinglet wakes up EXACTLY like I do in the mornings.
Not gonna lie. That yinglet crying out reminds me of cartman saying “But myyyoooooom!”
That solves the navel mystery (Cassie has a navel). Not sure I wanted to know.
Last case: All said with a smile. Looks like a clear sign of sanity loss.
I’d call that a rictus grin…
I just read the entire series up to here, and I gotta say, it’s very interesting! I wonder what I’d do in such a situation as Kass. Having been suicidal before, and not particularly fearing death currently, such a drastic life change would still be jarring, but… I have a lot of experience with brain fog. With exhaustion. With walking on stilts. On all fours. With eating things I don’t want to eat. With figuring out things about my own body that I’d rather not be true. With having an unreasonable feeling of fear/paranoia that comes out of nowhere, and dealing with it. With having every little thing upset me physiologically, and dealing with it psychologically.
Someone dealing in speech pathology could probably enable yinglets to use the th sound, too.
Too bad they’re all in their current setting and not in modern times where there is so much more access to such information.
TL;DR
*Very* relatable comic, I like it.
I understand you don’t want to reveal the gender of the nurses, but that cave wall is pratically like anime magical censor light.
Aww, come on, Kassen. At least it’s more dignified than being forced headfirst through a relatively small orifice.
I mean, that part still happens, but much earlier, so you actually have time to appreciate the momentous occasion without dealing with the various sensations involved in forcing a thing through an orifice.
Kassen’s mind is probably making things seem worse than they are. His/her mind is probably filling in all sorts of unsavory details, possibly leading him/her to see the little baby as something much more horrible than we do. Of course if he/she ever calls a baby yinglet a “monster” I may jump into the comic and give his/her neck a good wringing.
I imagine the egg being cut is accompanied by a cartoonish sawing sound, followed by a sproing-plop when the baby flops out.
Ay Val what day of the month do you usually pump out comics?
I’m just wondering… What if the male/female ratio is due to the temperature of the eggs? Like what happens with crocodile. Maybe they simply don’t know this. 😀
wait until she gets with Lopin and starts making little yinglets
