Think goblins or kobolds or other crittery monstery things. Even if a relative peace is achieved between them and humans, one can still be about as dangerous as any street thug!

-Elim’s mom when she finds out what just happened.
Hey, TV series pitch, here: Goblin Slayer but it’s Elim’s mom hunting yinglets.
No, no. The guy’s on the outs with the enclave and he’s in human territory assaulting a military/police officer. He gets caught, there are no rights. (See Salia domestic food stores dispute for reference)
1. I really hope Ran has made some serious breakthroughs on medical treatment.
2. Are we about to see Yinglet Kass go into panic mode or soldier Kass go into rage mode?
Little bit a’ both, more than likely. Either she flips shit and murders Brakka in the middle of the crowded town square, or she flips shit, gets kidnapped and the B team has to go save her.
Either possible outcome will result in Kass hurting *something*.
Oh feck. Ohhhh feck I heard this on the Discord and it is a lot more horrible actually seeing it. Yep. Oh golly. So, um, that’s a serious thing. I’d guess that Elim has been stabbed in his instestines. Entry point looks angled inward from the left of the spinal cord, passing through a good deal of his small intestine and out the other side. I expect it will do more damage if Brakka pulls it back out.
It also appears to be a curved dagger, like some sort of crude Kris. The kind that makes wounds that are difficult, if not impossible to mend without modern surgical techniques.
Okay, throwing my hat into the Wild Guessing ring. Ran can’t fix Elim but Vizlet realizes she can, and more importantly decides she WILL. She then Crosses A Line with her race, kicks Narklet’s ass up between his ears, takes control of the artifact stash, and uses a ying-transform artifact to make Elim a yinglet, with the side-effect of erasing all the physical trauma. Also meaning that she must rely on Viracroix for protection from…basically every other Enclave in the world. But hey, she saves Elim.
“If you can’t do something smart, do something right.”
I was just thinking that this was the only way that things could work out for Elim now. Minus the part where Vizlet has anything to do with it. I think the guards torture the info out of him and get another artifact. It both saves Elim and provides another case to study from as well as a demonstration of the process for science.
Kassie is right I love kids too but lack of experience makes you legally stupid.
I’m hoping Elm will be relatively okay, it’s too early I feel for him to die he’s to good a character, not to mention one of the few characters who witnessed Kassie’s transformation thus knows who she used to be. Elm is the main person Kassie can talk too.
And even if that other Yinglet has a small gang or is part of a rival tribe of jerks’ he just made the wrong enemy who will stop at nothing to get back at him I’m not talking about Elm but Kassie.
Also, he just attacked an official of house Ivenmoth and by proxy, the officer he is guarding. I understand the tradesmaster does not take kindly to such offenses.
He looks like he may have been stabbed with some kind of stick. I guess Elim has to die now. Nice getting to know you man. Is what it is. Love to see who gets stabbed next.
Maybe I just want to see Elim survive, but I don’t see anything really gained by having him die like this. The dialogue between Elim and Kass is the best way of contrasting Kass’s past and present, possibly the only character that can do that naturally. Also, now we have to see Brakka beaten like a rug.
If he does die from this it lowers the story quality a lot because that would just be. “Kill off X well liked character early to show things are serious.”
I can’t say i disagree with you two. I like Elim and would love to see him hang in there a bit longer.
But, it isn’t my comic and I’m not writing it. I can only hope he lives.
It might just be the shock but it almost seems like there is something on that blade that makes it so that Elim doesn’t feel it… once again it may just be shock, or simply that he hasn’t had the chance to feel it yet
Ok, I did not expect this.
Guess we have to keep in mind that, as ridiculous and cute as they look, Yinglets are NOT harmless.
Think goblins or kobolds or other crittery monstery things. Even if a relative peace is achieved between them and humans, one can still be about as dangerous as any street thug!
CRITICAL! BLEED!
BLEEDICAL
Valsalia:WHEN RANDOM RATBIRDS ATTACK!!!
(All the time, really)
I DEMAND GENOCIDE OF ALL THAT IS RATBIRD!!!!
“Not just the men, but the women and the children too! They were animals, and I killed them like animals! I hate them!”
-Elim’s mom when she finds out what just happened.
Hey, TV series pitch, here: Goblin Slayer but it’s Elim’s mom hunting yinglets.
Birdemic
I gotta admit, a yinglet version of Birdemic would a trillion times better and the plot would make more sense, too.
Elim no!
For me it’s more like “ELIM, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!”
Hmm, it seems it is time for a certain yinglet to die painfully.
HOLY SHIT! ELIM NOOOO! D:
BRAKKA, I WAS SORT OF ROOTING FOR YOU BUT NOW YOU’VE BETRAYED ME.
Oh.
So what’s the punishmint in a Yinglet society for assaulting a female?
No, no. The guy’s on the outs with the enclave and he’s in human territory assaulting a military/police officer. He gets caught, there are no rights. (See Salia domestic food stores dispute for reference)
nnnNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Kass do that yinglet cry to call for help! Then call for some actual help to save the #1 Bro.
1. I really hope Ran has made some serious breakthroughs on medical treatment.
2. Are we about to see Yinglet Kass go into panic mode or soldier Kass go into rage mode?

Sneak attack: +1d6 damage for every uneven level against flanked or surprised opponents.
Must be an OG rogue to go for a literal backstab….

Yeah it looks like the sort of wound that while not immediately fatal will hurt like hell and will probably kill him very slowly and painfully.
Especially when it is noted that yinglets like to coat their weapons in various noxious substances.
It also appears to be a curved dagger, like some sort of crude Kris. The kind that makes wounds that are difficult, if not impossible to mend without modern surgical techniques.
This is why the twain should never meet!

Yeah, plus Vizlet already has orders out on his head. Many things are happening at once.
O_O………………………….
Jesus, look how dull that blade is. That would be like getting stabbed with a brick.
That’s actually a good point how the hell is a Yinglet strong enough to push a dull blade ALL the way through a human torso?
I am very interested in seeing just what Narklet would look like with his ass kicked between his ears, I am having difficulty envisioning that.
Do you know what I’m seeing here? Kass getting a new class ability: Barbarian Rage. I really kinda see Kass going absolutely batshit crazy.
He looks like he may have been stabbed with some kind of stick. I guess Elim has to die now. Nice getting to know you man. Is what it is. Love to see who gets stabbed next.

A formula I always disliked.

I bet that tickles.
On a hind note. Elim been stabbed worse than this if I recall. This may be nothing more than just a tickle to him.
“Aeris’ Theme” or “You Say Run” should be playing in 3…2…
Great, now the tragedy is laid in full.
Sneak attack x5.0
SNEAK 100
F
HE’S NOT DEAD YET!
Uh-oh.
Panel 2: Ahhh, I don’t want Kass’ limbs to snap like twigs!
Panel 6: I want to see someone’s limbs snap like twigs.
Here, have a verbalized thumbs up for your comment. +1
And another +1
I hope he manages to recover from that. Possibly not the worst potentially fatal wond he has ever had, but still painfull.
Well… arguably less horrible than dysentery.
This makes me sad
Backstab with no Hornet Ring, Git Gud Elim Casul
OH, MAN!!!
Would you look at that two-tongued lizard in the first panel?! I mean, that’s some attention to detail right there!
It might just be the shock but it almost seems like there is something on that blade that makes it so that Elim doesn’t feel it… once again it may just be shock, or simply that he hasn’t had the chance to feel it yet
(He obviously feels it but he also isn’t reacting as if he was really stabbed yet
Well, that escalated quickly.
