Children are no better than the dimmest scavs. In fact, they are far worse. Blow your nose, boy.
Human children versus yinglet children
Whoever wins we lose.
(Spoilers: they join forces and bring forth the end times)
humans and scavs aren’t so different!
Go Elim, get yourself to that doctor! I wonder if he’s black he get out from pain or from blood loss?
Damnit Blacking out from pain*
Not likely blood loss unless he has a large amount of internal bleeding
The stichman can, because he stitches you with love and makes your wound feeeeeel gooood.
Fucc
“Weird scav wife” I like where this is going, don’t disappoint me now Valsalia :3
That line of dialogue makes me laugh as much as your username scares me. XD
Yaaaaaay, Elim is alive and still going strong!
Also, many many thanks for not leaving us hanging after he blacked out, we really appreciate it.
I refuse to believe that the Ruler Guy, I forget his name but I like to think of him as a more lively Vetinari, doesn’t have people trailing these two.
Ooh thanks for pointing out that similarity. I would now love for Vetinari to meet Viracroix and Matriarch
I heartily second this idea. Love me some Vetinari ❤️
C’mon Yannit, we’re counting on you for those promised head crushes.
Damnit Elim! You have to at least report a missing person!
You mean missing scav. Yeah, no one will care.
Except us.
Missing random scav? Yeah, no one will care.
Missing House Ivenmoth member (without express permission of Viracroix)? If one likes to breath sometime in one’s future, one better be ready for one’s 24/7 search party shifts until future orders.
Not just any house member, he is an officer, and an ambasador. Elm is a regular member, Kass is an Officer.

He needs a STITCHman~

[REDACTED]
Man, for a minute I was hoping this would be a Hardcore Henry arc.
Hahaha
Oh boy All things considered house Insmoth is probably going to make an example of this considering even if that guards now a Skav it’s likely He will have the entire guard looking for him and the Matron will quickly have the entire colony doing the same.
THe biggest problem that guy does have is it seems he’s use to Yinglets he’s bulling to be much more passive but Kaze’s a fighter and a female that will resort to violence that’s probably going to throw him off.
He’s got a bit of that self-hatred flavor of racism: he thinks most of his race is holding itself back. Like Matriarch, probably grew up in unique circumstances or something. He underestimates pretty much every one of his fellow Scavs, and being honest, most of the time that works out.
Poor bastards got no idea what he’s in for.
Kiods with sticks should be shot on sight…lil berserk murderous bastards
Never did liked small children. Even when I was one. Though I must admit the little girl poking Elim with a stick is pretty damn funny.
Please survive please survive please survive :c
I’m hoping he does x_x
Absolute sheer brilliancy of this bloody page is represented in concentrated form in the last two lines of dialogue on it.
“Y… you’re… not helping…”
(poke) “…I’m not helping.” (poke)
It looks like Elim has fallen into his back which would force the blade in deeper, if there is no guard, or if it isn’t large enough it could have even shoved the hilt of the blade into him
It doesn’t go much deeper than “entirely through from back to front” though. Maybe the jerk took his knife with him?
Could scooted back or been propped up with his back againt the wall (the hilt may hit it or drag if he stands up). Or he fell down onto his knees (templar knight death style)
I’m only thinking this due to angle and field of view.
And also WHY IS 3 EYES GRABBING KASS BY THE HOO-HA!
I don’t think there is a knife. We’ve seen this thing from a side and top angle. It’s not a blade. It’s a pointy stick. Brakka has a knife, I bet, but this is just a long disposable shiv he whittled. Carrying a spear draws too much attention for an outcast. So, carry a hidden knife, and now any handy stick is a spear with a little work. You discard them after, so nobody can catch you carrying a bloody one.
Anyway, it took a running leap for that yinglet bastard to put the spike INTO Elim. No way are his runty arms up to the task of pulling it back out, even if he were inclined to try.
Kass is quickly becoming one of my favorite fictional characters. He’s not screaming out “help me” like people normally do when they’re being kidnapped, he’s ordering Elim to save himself first.
It goes to show how much Kass cares about his friends. Sure, he’s being kidnapped, and he doesn’t know where he’s going or why, but that’s still than Elim right now, who is currently bleeding into the dirt and fading in and out of consciousness.
Wow… that is dialogue that I would really have expected from a Yinglet. Whether due to age or lack of education, you write idiots pretty well.
So we’ve seen spears and daggers. Are there any other weapons a Yinglet might be able to use? Would the recoil on a crossbow / firearm be too much for them if braced against the chest / shoulder? Kass once said their limbs ‘snap like twigs’ to the point apparently children can easily break them, and the Bakersroof guy broke his legs and it seems like they were so injured in the event they had to be amputated, judging by the wooden poles. Are their limbs really that fragile?
Well, at the very least Elim will be able to see another day… Maybe… Think he’ll find a way to make it look like he fought bravely?
So, do they know what a Yinglet female looks like, or is it just that common that a human has a “scav wife”?
With Yinglets as common as in Val Salia I assume they’d be bound to find out what a female looks like eventually.
Yinglets are common, but female Yinglets aren’t. Judging by the visit to the colony, even if we assume some unseen ones (elders not obliged to Vizlet’s commands) there can’t be much more than a dozen. Very likely, only Vizlet ever leaves the colony.
Even other yinglets are so surprised to see one, they abandon a safe mugging.
So some human kids from the street would be even less familiar.
Well shoot, then why did they say scav wife? Did they just mean wife in the sense of attachment? Or is it that common for humans to go around with the recipient/preening type of yinglet?
Well, since the recent ‘guide’ pages are supposedly in-universe printed material, it’s possible they managed to see a picture of the differences between a male and female Yinglet, such as the huge tail-fluff.
Ze bewbs are a pretty good hint.
I think that the kids aren’t much arsed about the difference between a genuine female yinglet and the preening prettyboy yinglets. ‘If it acts girly, call it a girl.’ They saw Kass acting girly and looking to Elim for protection. And being kids, they didn’t just go ‘no way is that what it looks like’ and instead just assumed that if it looks like a boy/girl relationship then it is. ‘If they act married, the girly one’s the wife’.
Kids see the patterns of behavior and relationships long before they grasp WHY the patterns exist, and so they’re less good at understanding when ‘looks like’ isn’t ‘is’.
And as the child kept poking the knife protruding from his chest, Elim realized that Yinglets truly weren’t so different from human beings.
Is it bad that I’m hoping that Kass will break out of whatever cell she gets put in repeatedly due to stupid guards but keeps getting put back in as instead of running away she tries to kill Brakka slowly?
If they’re instinctively compelled to come running when a yinglet cries out in panic, and to go berserk when a female cries out, I got a hunch that yinglet males have some fairly hard-wired aversions to HURTING a female. Grab and run off with and even imprison, sure. If they think it’s a rescue and will keep her safe, that’s fine. ‘Don’t hurt’ doesn’t equate to ‘obey’ or ‘respect my wishes’. I think their reluctance to get rough with Kass is gonna metaphorically cripple their ability to stop her from literally crippling them.
Well, the good news (so far) is that nobody’s made the mistake of trying to pull the knife out, without having a medic (stitchman) on hand. The blade itself is probably acting as a tamponade, slowing the bleeding.
The little girl is adorable though, must be the tooth gap, it really add to cuteness.
But seriously how come Brakka don’t suspect whoever is “paying” him will likely see him as what is commonly refered as : “Loose end” is beyond me not to mention all the previous fire he’ll get and was mentioned before in the comments of this and the previous page, hope he doesn’t get himself killed he’s actually pretty funny, plus has useful information.
At least pokes-with-stick admits she’s not helping. Sigh. This situation is getting worse and worse.
You know, maybe the kid is helping him, stay awake. Occasionally it pays to have a question-asker around.
You know for some reason what I THOUGHT was about to happen was Elim being turned into a Yinglet like Kass to save his life. I have no idea why I thought this since if memory serves the Zhing was destroyed after it changed Kass and literally noone knows how it did that or what it is, but that’s just the random thought that came to my mind.
I’m surprised that nobody has commented on the white Yinglet doing most of the carrying. He’s a very big boy, seemingly larger than the other males. His limbs are less stick-like and more what one might see on a large dog. Definitely a very useful enforcer/bruiser to have around to do some heavy work.
